Cherry Mobile just announced their latest affordable tablet, the Superion Discover which retails for just Php3,999. Curiously, it’s the same price as one of their fast-selling tablet, the Fusion Bolt.
At first glance, it looks like the Superion Discover is the better buy since it’s new and has a SIM slot which supports 3G so you won’t get stuck to just a WiFi network which is the limitation of the Fusion Bolt.
Anyway, if you’re curious, here’s a closer look at the specs of both similarly-priced 7-inch Android tablets from Cherry Mobile.

We don’t know what the display resolution of the Superion Discover is but it’s clear that its main advantage is the Dual SIM slot and 3G connectivity. Other than that, the Fusion Bolt is still the better option if you’re looking for a tablet with its quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and bigger battery. The Superion Discover looks like a smartphone trapped in a tablet’s body.
