It was just a little bit more than a year ago that Cherry Mobile entered the Android scene with the launch of their first three Android phones, the Cherry Mobile Nova, Cherry Mobile Magnum HD and their tablet Cherry Mobile Superion.
Today, after many more Android devices in-betwee, it was time to do a refresh of their first three Androids. They launched the dual-sim Cherry Mobile Stellar, the dual-core Cherry Mobile Magnum 2X and their newest and affordable 7-inch tablet, the CherryPad Turbo.
Cherry Mobile Stellar
The Stellar follows the success of their Orbit which came from the same mold as of the CM Nova but with better specs and comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Aside from the dual-sim/dual-standby, the Stellar boasts of a bigger 3.5″ screen, faster 800MHz processor and a bump in RAM.

Cherry Mobile Magnum 2X
Front-lining the show is the first dual-core Android phone from Cherry Mobile, the Magnum 2X which is somewhat an upgrade from the Magnum HD. You’ll get a smaller screen than the Magnum HD but it has a higher screen resolution to go along with the dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. It still runs on Froyo but if things go as planned, we’ll see the Gingerbread update by the end of the month.

CherryPad Turbo
If you find the Superion not too “œsuperiony” with its 600MHz processor, the CherryPad Turbo easily solves that. This 7-inch tablet reminds of the the first Samsung Galaxy Tab with the wide bezel on all sides. It features a 1.2GHz processor, 4GB internal storage and a measly 2-megapixel camera. It also runs on Android Gingerbread although we heard that they’re planning to upgrade it to the more tablet-centric Android Honeycomb. Unlike the Superion though, this one’s strictly WiFi.

- RK291B Cortex A8 1.2 GHz processor
- 7-inch capacitive touch panel
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB internal storage

This is not the cheapest tablet they have though. The ordinary CherryPad goes for P3,899 but with a 7-inch resistive screen, Froyo and 800Mhz processor.
These three Android devices are already available in the market so you might want to check them out in Cherry Mobile stores to have a feel for them.
