Here’s an unbelievably priced phone from Cherry Mobile. They just launched their 4-inch Cherry Mobile Flare phone which goes for only Php3,999! That’s way more affordable than their previous 4-incher, the Cherry Mobile W900 Dragon which is currently selling at Php5,999. Moreso, the Flare packs more punch than the Dragon.
On the outside, the Cherry Mobile Flare looks pretty basic and spartan. You’ll get the 4-inch IPS capacitive touch panel display on an 800 x 480 screen resolution. Build is nothing special plastic but with a matte back to keep fingerprints and smudges at bay.
What’s special about this phone is in the inside. You’ll get a respectable 1.2 GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 512MB RAM running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. ROM is at a hefty 4GB with microSD support up to 32GB. For the kicker, this smartphone is also dual-SIM, dual-standby capable to give you more mileage out of it.
The specs on its own are not too shabby but partnered with an unbelievably low price of Php3,999, I think this phone will be a hot-seller once it rolls out on mid-November.

Cherry Mobile already boosts numerous good reviews on their Android phones. I hope to buy the CM Titan because it has bigger screen but the pixel count makes me think twice. Anyway, it has better battery pack than the Flare.
So yeah, I think I just have to wait until December since Yuletide is already around the corner! We can expect for more discounted sales! I hope these Titan and Flare are both quality phones despite their cheapness on price.

May issue daw ang stock charger na nakaka-affect sa touchscreen while charging. I don’t experience this issue because I’ve been using the charger of my Galaxy Note since day one. Also, even though it’s capable of dual SIM standby and can receive calls and texts through either SIM at any one time, may designated SIM for messages, calls and data. Meaning, you have to go into the settings to change the designated SIM if naubos yung load sa SIM1 at gusto mo tumawag gamit ang SIM2.

1 day or less.. kasi yung myphone a878 ko halos mag 1.5 – 2 days, 1800mah na un ha.. pero depende din cguro sa gamit kapag gaming lang, for sure akong less than 1 day yan 1600mah eh..

di pa kasi ganun kalaki branding expenses nila, compared sa mga branded phone. Advertisement at R&D pa lng mahal na so additional dagdag cost sa phone. Maganda na din may choice ang market> Its nice na theres a local brand who can cater good price. Also, check always on the specs para kung konti na rin lang difference dun kana sa lamang ang specs.

A bit odd na Adreno 203 at di man lang 205 ang ginamit. A 1600 mAh battery to power a dual-core 4-incher? Better bring the charger along ‘coz you’re gonna need it by afternoon. Still, ignoring for a moment the build quality, the specs are still attractive at 4K… Just bear in mind that you’ll almost certainly need to buy a new replacement phone in 9 months time or less.

hmmm… durability and stability is really still an issue with CM mobile phones. nakabaili ako ng w100, after 2 weeks, ayaw na gumana ng main cam. tapos crash ng crash randomly. when i use heavily, it would crash at least twice or thrice a day. nakukuha naman sa reboot, kakairita lang.
This just hyped me up. Never found anything better than its specs. Was eying W100 for Christmas but Im yearning for this Flare now. I hope stocks would reach Cebu. Im buying this. 😀

Don’t worry if you this CM Flare. Sulit na sulit. Until now ok pa rin ung flare ko. Well, don’t expect too much sa battery, it can last for 3 days standby, pero syempre pag ginamitan mo na ng games and connect sa wifi eh mabilis din ma lowbat. Sa speed and graphics no problem. Madalas pa nga mapag kamalan na iPhone 5 to eh. Walang lag sa mga HD games like modern combat, contract killer and many more. If masira man agad, eh super sulit naman sya sa specs for a price of 4k.

Kopya lang…Hi guys! I was reading this thread to help me decide if I’ll buy CM Flare. But according to the first batch of Flarenatics, ito yung mga issues na na-eencounter nila:
1. G-Sensor is unbalanced. Hindi mo malalaro yung NFS at temple run (or any games that involves gyroscope/g-sensor) ng maayos.
2. Unresponsive touchscreen while charging.
3. Unresponsive touchscreen if you’re not holding the phone when using it, or kapag nakapatong yung unit sa table.
4. Some flarenatics have deadpixels on their CM Flare.
5. Creaky left side near the volume button, it gets worse kapag palagi mong inaalis yung back cover.
6. Buggy sms keyboard, especially when composing sms.
7. No landscape or buggy landscape mode for sms.
8. Battery life sucks. What do you expect? 1500mah lang yung battery.
9. Faulty calibration of battery percentage. Fully charged (100%), but when you unplug the charger magiging 96% or so yung battery.
10. GPS sometimes does not work properly, cannot connect to the satellite.
11. Dual sim cannot be renamed. Fixed na yung Sim 1 and Sim 2
12. You cannot remove the search bar on the homescreen.
13. When using other earphones, music player becomes buggy like nagrarandom stop yung music.
14. Lag in playing movies.
15. Crushes when using Panorama app. RAM is too small for multitasking.

ang problema ko sa cherry mobile flare is hindi mo pwede gawing landscape mode yung keyboard. ang hirap pa naman na mag type pag portrait mode. sana man may way para mag-landscape yung keyboard.
I also tried to install other keyboards from Google Play but it did not resolve it.
Any suggestions?
