Here’s the second of Cherry Mobile’s latest Cosmos series smartphones, the Cosmos X2, which is almost similar to the Cosmos X in terms of specs.
Comparing to the Cosmos X, the Cosmos X2 has a more appealing and slimmer design with its rounded and beveled edges and seemingly thin bezels especially on the white unit. It has a physical Home button below its 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display which should give you vibrant colors if you’re the type who loves watching movies. By the way, the display is Galaxy S3 level folks and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Powering the Cosmos X2 is a MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processor clocking at 1.2GHz which is the same as the Cosmos X. This chip supports HSPA+, dual-SIM, and dual-Active functionality with power-efficient Cortex-A7 cores on 28nm manufacturing for extremely low power consumption. It also has a 1GB RAM plus a whopping 16GB internal storage along with microSD support.
The back has a glossy plastic sheen finish with what looks like a divider for accent. There’s an 18-megapixel camera with BSI sensor on the upper center plus a 5-megapixel front BSI camera compared to the 8-megapixel one on the Cosmos X. Shouldn’t matter though.
The Cosmos X2 comes in black and white and is expected it to be available in two to three weeks time with an SRP of Php11,699.
