We’ve spotted Cherry Home devices displayed at a hardware store in the metro, now with official SRPs to boot.
Launched earlier this year, these bring home automation to the masses with affordable prices. The lineup consists of iOT products than can help your home such as smart switches, CCTV cameras, and sensors. These can help you manage your home in a few commands or at the tap of your phone.
There are smart adapters and extensions that can control the electricity even without touching them. The adapters tout to be energy-efficient devices and can be controlled even when many are present. The smart extensions feature electronic switches and are in a full-flame retardant shell.
Door sensors and switches enable you to turn the lights on or off without even going near them. Some of them provide your phone with security notifications as they happen. Their prices start at Php 900 to Php1,200.
An IR Transceiver also helps you control other non-smart appliances such as DVD players, air conditioners and LED TVs. You can set schedules for them to turn on and off, as well as check on their status when you’re out of the home.
Cameras, when connected to the Internet, also help in monitoring your home even from far away. The brand offers some that can track movements and capture the home in Full HD resolution. They can also track movements and offer night vision when in low-lit places. Prices start from Php 1,200.
All of these IoT devices can be controlled with the app available at the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Not only that, these are Tuya-enabled, so you can work seamlessly with these on both Google Home and Amazon Alexa platforms.
Aside from these, we’ve heard that Cosmic Technologies (Cherry Home and Cherry Mobile’s parent company) has also partnered with Skyworth to make the devices work more seamless. Skyworth in itself takes pride of other IoT-enabled appliances such as LED TVs.
Cherry Home devices are now available at select True Value stores nationwide.
