Canon recently treated its dealers and media partners to a day of fun activities with its first ever Canon Pixmazing Race, held in the historic Corregidor island. It’s their own derivation of the popular Amazing Race TV show where participants try to be the first team to complete a series of challenges and tasks.
The day started with a boat ride to the island where Canon showed a presentation of their product ambassadors, as well as the rules of the game. Shortly after docking, everyone boarded tourist trams to take them to the starting point of the game. After a short break and an introduction, the game commenced. Fortunately for those with older legs, the game wasn’t that long, as there were only a few roadblocks to go through. The game was over in just half an hour with the hardest part being the uphill run to the lighthouse, which was located at the highest point of the island and mercifully the last stop of the race.
Right after the race everyone had a sneak preview of the printers that they’ll be launching on Tuesday, February 19 at the SM North EDSA City Style (Annex). They will be introducing 10 new models (MX and Pro series) that they say will continue the evolution of excellent print and digital imaging. The standout feature would be the wireless printing options available: PictBridge, Google Cloud Print, AirPrint, mobile printing via the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint app and internet printing via their own Pixma Cloud Link interface.
The Pixma MX927 features a multitude of features including WiFi and 2-sided printing as well as Direct Disc Print. It will be available for Php 12,995.
The participants were also treated to a tour of the island, with the highlight being the lights and sound show at the Malinta tunnel. To those who haven’t yet been to Corregidor, I highly recommend that you do, as you will be amazed by its history and be very much entertained by the knowledge and humor of the tour guides.
Oh and did we mention that we’re part of the team that won? 🙂
