With Canon introducing its new EOS RP Mirrorless camera this 2019, it’s only fitting the brand follow through with another development matching the camera’s new technology. Expect six new RF mount lenses to be available in the market soon.
Here’s a rundown of each of the lenses and what users can expect:
RF 85mm F1.2 L USM
This is a large aperture mid-telephoto prime lens designed for portraiture. Canon explains “…it offers excellent performance for advanced and professional portrait photographers and is a widely popular focal length and aperture speed combination for users.”
RF 85mm F1.2 L USM DS
The lens features a Defocus Smoothing technology that produces bokeh as well as a faster F1.2 aperture.
RF 24-70mm F2.8 L IS USM
It’s the ideal lens to carry for shooting landscapes, weddings, portraits, and documentaries because of its high-performance, standard zoom feature that photo enthusiasts and professionals will like.
RF 15-35mm F2.8 L IS USM
This delivers a wide angle and fast aperture setup that’s ideal for landscape, architecture, and interior shots.
RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM
An all-around, high-speed, medium telephoto zoom lens professional photographers should have in their bags. It’s great for shooting wildlife, sports, and weddings.
RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM
For starters and advanced amateurs looking to expand their craft, this all-purpose lens offers a range of focal lengths that capture remarkable shots. It’s also compact and lightweight, perfect for traveling.
Canon hasn’t announced a definite date and price for each of the lenses yet but all are expected to launch this 2019.
