BlackBerry just announced the availability of their flagship BB 10 with a qwerty keyboard, the BlackBerry Q10, which will arrive in the country on June 7 with a retail price of Php31,990. That’s a couple of thousand pesos more than their Z10 when it was launched last March.
The BlackBerry Q10 should be the handset of choice for BlackBerry purists out there, having a re-engineered ergonomic physical keyboard where they layout is wider and the sculpted keys are larger than before. It also has a 720 x 720 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and features a glass weave body for added strength and weight reduction.
Powering the Q10 is a 1.5GHz TI OMAP dual-core processor with a 2GB RAM. Internal storage is at 16GB with support for a microSD card. It also comes with the same 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel HD front camera as that of the Z10, and packs LTE and NFC capabilities as well.
Here’s a quick rundown on a few things you can expect from BlackBerry 10 if you’re still not familiar with it.:
- The ever present BlackBerry Hub, which brings all your conversations together in one easy to manage place that you can access at any time from any app with a simple “œpeek”, so you’re always only one swipe away from what matters to you.
- BlackBerry Balance technology, which elegantly separates and secures work applications and data from personal content, protecting what’s important to you and the business you work for.
- BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), which lets you share things with the people that matter to you in an instant. BBM on BlackBerry 10 smartphones includes voice calling and video chat, and lets you share your screen with another BlackBerry 10 smartphone contact.
- BlackBerry Remember, which helps you tackle tasks quickly with a new way to collect, organize and action all the information sitting in different places across your smartphone.
The BlackBerry Q10 will come in either black or white color and will retail for Php31,990 starting June 7.

AAhh but will it allow you to access your contacts using a pc? and also upload your contacts to the sim in bulk??
Having used a BB for the past 6 years, these are my frustrations, and why I am moving to another supplier. Its a pity otherwise I love the handsets they produce.
i can move my contacts to sim in bulk and vice versa.. im using bold 9700
That was my problem too, until I found intouch contact app from bb world. I transferred all my contacts from torch 9860 to Z10 via micro sd card.
