The Indian smartphone market welcomed the arrival of two new phones: the ASUS Zenfone Lite L1 and the ASUS Zenfone Max M1. Primarily marketed as budget smartphones, these additions to the Zenfone line are aimed to be pitted against the Xiaomi Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6.
The Lite L1 features a 5.45-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset together with an Octa-core CPU and a 2GB RAM plus 16GB of storage that can further be expanded. It also has a 13MP rear camera paired up with a 5MP front camera that both have their own flash. The Lite L1 runs on an Android 8.0 OS, has a face unlock feature for added security, and has a 3,000mAh battery capacity.
The Max M1 on the other hand, shares the same processor, screen size and rear camera as the Lite L1. The main differences would be its 8MP front camera, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, a fingerprint sensor at the back and a larger battery capacity that clocks in at 4,000mAh. It also dons a 2.5D curved front glass panel, giving it a more refined look.
The ASUS Zenfone Lite L1 is set to retail for ? 6,999 (Php 5,100) while the ASUS Zenfone Max M1 will retail for ? 8,999 (Php 6,600).
