How much would you pay for a portable 11.6-inch notebook with a multi-gesture touchscreen? How about Php20,995? Sounds like a good deal right? That’s the ViVoBook X202E for you, one of the latest Windows 8 notebooks from ASUS we spotted during the Windows 8 PH launch.
Actually, the VivoBook X202E comes in two configurations and with the aforementioned price you’ll get the Intel ULV Celeron 847 dual-core processor clocked at 1.10GHz. Just enough to give you a laptop for basic computing needs. There’s also a more expensive version packing a 3rd gen Intel Core processor.
The VivoBook follows ASUS’ recent notebook design with the brushed matte metallic lid and the wedge-shaped body with the rounded edges. The hinge is also designed in such a way that using the touchscreen won’t push the display backwards or tip the notebook over.
You’ll get 500GB HDD on the VivoBook and up to 4GB RAM. It is also equipped with ASUS SonicMaster technology for powerful and detailed sound and speakers that are designed for 14-inch or 15-inch notebooks. Ports include a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, HDMI, VGA, and a headphone/mic combo.
The ASUS VivoBook X202E will be initially available in the Philippines by 1st week of November in two configurations. One with an Intel Core i3 Processor for Php26,995 and one with Intel Celeron Processor for Php 20,995.
At that price point, the VivoBook X202E is the most affordable touch-enabled Win 8 laptop we’ve seen so far.
