ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) just announced the ROG Strix GL702ZC, the world’s first gaming laptop featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 processor with 8-core computing power with multithreading technology. A laptop like that, obviously, results in high-end gaming performance. Besides that, you also have machine that easily handles demanding workloads, regardless of source.
This Ryzen 7-equipped laptop only became possible through an exclusive deal between ROG and AMD, two trusted tech brands. To be specific, the Ryzen 7 1700 runs on eight cores and sixteen threads. In turn, this translates into a more tangible, boosted processor speed of 3.7 GHz. Furthermore, the Strix GL702ZC sports an AMD Radeon RX580 grapics card, and 4GB RAM for top-notch visual power. It’s the perfect laptop to play virtual reality games and applications.
Design-wise, the GL702ZC will come with a backlit keyboard, complete with anti-ghosting technology. This ensures that all keystrokes come in correctly and quickly, when interpreted by the laptop. For software, we’re looking at the ROG Gaming Center. Specifically, the Gaming Center dashboard lets gamers launch ROG apps and access the settings menu. However, it does not end there. Thankfully, it also functions well with integrated apps like ROG GameFirst IV, XSplit Gamecaster, and ASUS Splendid.
