Donning a 6-inch AMOLED display, one of the crowning jewels of the ROG Phone is its 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It’s also powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 processor with an Adreno 630 GPU and a large 8GB RAM. No longer will you have to worry about lags when playing graphics-heavy games such as Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat X, or even horror indies like Identity V and Hello Neighbor which require a lot of graphics processing power. As for internal storage, the ROG Phone comes in two variants: 128GB ROM, and 512GB ROM that both aren’t expandable.
The ROG Phone runs on an Android 8.1 OS with a special ROG Gaming X mode UI. It truly is designed with a specific purpose in mind, as this device is packed with more features that can’t be easily found in its competitors such as the Game Center menu that helps you customize the Aura lighting at the back and monitor the hardware’s performance while playing.
Aside from gaming, the ROG Phone is also equipped with a 12MP + 8MP dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera. There are various shooting modes you can play around with, and thanks to its high-quality processor, you can rest assured that despite its modest lenses the ROG Phone can still deliver amazing camera performance.
The ROG Phone comes with a 4,000mAh battery and an AeroActive cooler that not only keeps the phone’s temperature in check, it also helps you charge the device while gripping it horizontally due to the extra ports on the phone’s side. And finally, the ROG Phone is equipped with advanced haptics–the air triggers on the right-hand side of the phone can serve as additional buttons that can be customized to work with any game.
The ASUS ROG Phone currently costs Php 49,995 for the 128GB ROM variant, and Php 61,995 for the 512GB ROM variant.
