ASUS Republic of Gamers has officially unveiled the ROG Phone II. This next-generation gaming smartphone comes with powerful specs such as the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus CPU, the world’s first 120Hz AMOLED display, and a super huge 6000mAh battery.

Design & Construction
The ROG Phone II is designed from the ground up for fully immersive gaming. This handset boasts a unique landscape-oriented design, which incorporates upgraded AirTrigger II ultrasonic sensors, Dual Surrounding Vibration technology, and powerful front-facing stereo speakers. The new ASUS gaming device also comes with brand-new accessories: the TwinView Dock II for dual-screen gaming and the multi-configuration ROG Kunai Gamepad for console-like gaming experience. The bundled ROG Phone Aero Case provide additional protection to your phone.
Display & Multimedia
The ROG Phone II features the world’s first 6.59-inch 10-bit HDR AMOLED display. It has 120Hz/1ms refresh rate and FHD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution. The screen offers a world-beating Delta-E <1 color accuracy and unrivaled touch response for a truly extraordinary visual experience. Protecting this state-of-the-art display is a super-tough Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
The dual front-facing speakers are positioned at top and bottom of the phone for perfect stereo imaging in landscape mode. Meanwhile, the multi-antenna Wi-Fi promises to deliver maximum landscape-mode performance.
Camera
For photography, the ASUS ROG Phone II comes with a dual rear camera set-up: a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture wide lens; and a 13-megapixel ultrawide-angle secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. In front, is a 24-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Performance
The ASUS ROG Phone II builds on the innovative gamer-centric design of the first-generation ROG Phone. However, this gaming portable machine takes performance to another level being the world’s first phone to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus Mobile Platform. The 2.96GHz processor works with the new Adreno 640 GPU running at up to 675MHz.
In addition, the updated ROG Phone has 12GB RAM under the hood and high-capacity 512GB UFS 3.0 onboard storage. There’s also the second-gen GameCool II, which features a new 3D vapor-chamber cooling system and AeroActive Cooler II with redesigned fan blades and quieter 24dBA noise level.

Pricing & Availability
No local pricing and availability yet. However, the price for the ASUS ROG Phone II has already been revealed in China. The base model ROG Phone 2 (12GB RAM +512GB ROM) retails for CNY6,000 (around P44,000). ASUS ROG also unveiled an eSports Armour edition that comes with a custom briefcase and all of the ROG Phone 2 accessories. This special edition ROG Phone II sells for CNY13, 000 (around P96,000).
