ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) just announced that one of its flagship products, powered by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series, is now available.
The product in question is the GX800, the “world’s most powerful 18-inch gaming laptop“. It enters the local market alongside the G800, G752, and the Strix GL502 gaming laptops. These gaming machines sport the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards, providing top-notch performance, and in addition, are VR-Ready. Beyond that, they also tout energy efficiency, which means gamers can experience VR gaming without wasting electricity. Finally, the cards come with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology to reduce visual tearing and in-game lag, ensuring seamless gaming visuals.
According to GfK Group’s recent sales data, ASUS currently ranks as the number one gaming laptop brand worldwide. They hold a 40% market share, according to the research group. Besides that, ASUS gaming laptops with NVIDIA GeForce GTX series graphics came out on top of the global sales charts for the second time in a row. However, ASUS aims to increases that market share to larger than half before the end of 2016. With the GTX 10-series graphics, it may not be far-off until the company dominates completely.
ASUS ROG Strix GL502
For the local market, ASUS ROG plans to release an upgraded version of both the ROG G752VS and G752VM, and the compact ROG Strix GL502VS and GL502VM, fresh from their launch. These are machines that allows users to game anytime, anywhere.
The ROG Strix GL502 boasts the latest 6th-generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics. Meanwhile, the GL502VS variant contains NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics. Lastly, the GL502VM model runs on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics.
On the other hand, the ROG G752VS gets a GTX 1070 graphics card, an unlocked Intel Core i7 ‘Skylake’ processor and up to 64GB DDR4 RAM. Thanks to the processor being unlocked, users can overclock the system to a maximum of 4.0 GHz. On top of that, the machine is also equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 178-degree wide-view-angle panel for superior image quality and contrast at all possible viewing angles.
ASUS ROG G752
Moving onto the ROG G752VM model, ASUS built this particular laptop with the GTX 1060, designed with Pascal architecture. Like the G752VS, the G752VM contains an Intel Core i7 ‘Skylake’ processor. In terms of RAM, they’re the same too, packing 64GB DDR4 RAM. The unique part about the G752VM, however, is the backlit anti-ghosting keyboard that offers precise control and exact input during crucial gaming moments.
Last but not least, the ROG Strix GL502’s efficiency trumps other competing laptops. It proves to be ideal for on-the-go-gaming. This is due to the machine’s 15-inch panel with wide 178° viewing angles. This prevents color shift even when viewing the screen from extreme positions.
