As Semisonic said on its popular hit, ‘every new begin comes from some other beginning’s end’. That’s pretty much what happened to the iPhone 5S and the original iPad Air as Apple stopped selling these devices on its official website to give way to the new iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
With the omission of the original iPad Air from the lineup, Apple’s tablet portfolio now only consists of five slates: the iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 4 in the sub 9-inch segment; the iPad Air 2 and new 9.7-inch iPad Pro in the sub 10-inch department; and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
As for the company’s handset lineup, the void that the iPhone 5S was aptly filled by the new iPhone SE which joins the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus as Apple’s current smartphone triumvirate.
Apple has started taking pre-orders for the iPhone SE and new iPad Pro and are expected to ship to customers by the end of this month. The former starts at $399 while the 32GB variant of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will set you back $599. Check out the links below to know more about this new devices from Apple.
