It’s a sad day for the computing world. Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, passed away at the age of 56 surrounded by his family. We saw it coming with the leaked photos of his condition when he stepped down as CEO of the company but who knew it will be this soon?
I’m not really an Apple fan but I’m still deeply saddened with the passing of one of the greatest visionaries and innovators the modern computing world has ever seen. I believe that without his creative genius, his competitors won’t be up to their toes and the gadgets and things that we use today would be less awesome.
The first computer I used was the boxy Macintosh when I was a kid. I enjoyed it immensely that when we got our very own computer (ironically an IBM), I know I will be hooked using it. Although I don’t really enjoy using a Mac, I appreciate how Apple changed the landscape of modern computing. I would consider the Apple left behind by Steve Jobs a leader in the industry with everybody else riding the bandwagon of success of its products.
Yeah, today fanboys and haters alike mourn for the loss of Steve Jobs. May the guy with the black turtleneck rest in peace. He will be missed.
