Newest battle royal game Apex Legends is certainly making a legendary mark in the gaming world. In just 72 hours, the game has reported over 10 million players jumping into the arena. Additionally, the title has also breached 1 million users playing simultaneously. With such success, it’s only a matter of time until the company releases a mobile version of the free-to-play battle royale game.
Most of the available battle royale titles today, like PUBG and Fortnite, intially released on PC but eventually made their way to console and mobile platforms. With Apex Legends‘ growing popularity, it’s inevitable that it will expand to mobile platforms as well.
Another thing to note is that publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has released mobile counterparts to some of their games before. Adding to this probability EA’s CEO announced during its Q3 2019 earnings call that there’s interest in a mobile version and crossplay. In addition, the company is also looking to reach audience across Asia.
Currently, the Apex Legends is now available for download and to play for free on Origin on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
