Out of nowhere, Alcatel suddenly popped up in time for Christmas with their OneTouch line of mobile phones including one Android phone called the Omni OT-980.
The OneTouch Tribe Omni OT-980 is an affordable Android phone with a slider QWERTY keyboard and a resistive touchscreen display. It has the basic features an entry-level Android phone would have but Alcatel points out that it has some useful Android programs (Facebook, Twitdroyd, Shazam, Palringo, PicSay, etc.) pre-installed in case you don’t know what app to download.
The black Omni OT-980 has a soft, matte finish which is nice however, I find the buttons a bit recessed making them a bit tricky to get used to. The QWERTY keyboard also feels fragile when you keep on sliding it in and out. I’m just saying that if you want to consider this phone, better try it out first a lot especially when typing with the physical keyboard buttons.
The Alcatel OneTouch Tribe Omni OT-980 is already available for Php10,599.
