Alcatel is finally releasing the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 on May 17, barely a year after the launch of its predecessor. While details are still scarce on Flash’s latest smartphone, Alcatel has hinted about the Flash Plus 2 bearing a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which should provide adequate improvements in speed and performance over the MT6752 processor of the first Alcatel Flash Plus.
The new Helio P10 Soc also known as MT6755 moreover brings upgrades on multimedia features such as support for cameras up to 21 Megapixels, Full HD 1080p at 60fps and HiFi audio, and consumes less power compared to its precursors. Alcatel has earlier announced that it has collaborated with Texas Instrument in providing a battery with 3 times faster than normal 5V 1Ahm charging solution.
As for the pricing, the Alcatel Flash Plus was released with a 6.5k price tag so we’re expecting the same price range for this Helio P10 – powered Flash smartphone.
