With Adobe set to launch its new update to its Creative Suite product line on March 27, 2007 (3:30pm ET), here are some nice bits of info I could share which are NDA-safe:
- Similar to Windows Vista, CS3 will have different flavors. There will be a total of 6 options available.
- Adobe Illustrator, a long-time favorite vector tool for graphic designers will have an edition that is targeted for a totally different user segment.
- 3 former Macromedia tools are included in the suite
- And consistent to Adobe’s overall direction, CS3 looks outside of the PC.
Incidentally, the Adobe User Group – Philippines will be having a mini-CS3 launch/get together on March 28, 2007 (7:30pm) at the Mob at Market! Market! at the Fort. For those interested in seeing what’s new with Adobe CS3, feel free to drop by.

Does anyone else other than me feel like this is an unneccesarry upgrade that’s just gonna eat more memory off your vista-fied PCs? Just saying.
I believe Mac users will enjoy CS3 with it being natively compatible with Intel Macs.
hay… mag u-upgrade na naman ng ram.. not!
poipoi, i think p4 and amd(sempron) processors can take the power of cs3
bit, i agree with you
ryan, well, it will depend on the user. we just have to wait and try it. ^^
Hi Ryan,
You should check out the new features of the CS3 tools. A good example is AJAX integration in Dreamweaver CS3. 🙂
