Beautiful curved displays are no longer restricted to the desktop or the television. With the unveiling of the Acer Predator 21 X, the world meets the first curved screen laptop. This giant of a gaming laptop proudly comes with a 21-inch curved display that’s perfect for an immersive gaming experience. Clearly, it’s something that the portable gaming market has never seen before. The screen has at least a 2560 x 1080 resolution, but with the NVIDIA G-Sync, the output could get even better.
But the Predator 21 X is not a one-trick pony. Acer included Tobii eye tracking to this beast of a machine in order to help gamers aim. In addition, a 4.2-channel audio system and a full-size illuminated keyboard guarantees the feel of a truly pro gaming device. Speaking of the keyboard, it also contains both Cherry MX mechanical switches and a trackpad right under the number pad. In terms of performance, the laptop also blows the competition out of the water. It’s built with 7th-gen core processors and dual GeForce GTX 1080 graphics.
Of course, a truly powerful laptop like this does not come cheap. Acer has yet to announce how much the Predator 21 X will cost, but techies and gamers have some time to save up. After all, the rig will only start shipping around the first quarter of 2017.
