To mark its 15th anniversary in the country, Acer Philippines recognized key business partners at its annual ePinnacle awards. To date, Acer has sold PCs and notebooks in the country for 9 and 12 years, respectively. Partners, Managing Director Manuel Wong notes, helped elevate the brand through the years.
Strengthening partnerships and giving back
To further celebrate its stability, the brand also acknowledged GreenEarth Foundation, its partner in Corporate Social Responsibility. GreenEarth aims to restore and preserve forestry at the foothills of Sierra Madre, while helping nearby communities. Established in 2011, the partnership continues to flourish, having restored the region with 8,000 trees.
Among other efforts include granting Romnick Blanco, one of its beneficiaries, a scholarship at Harvard. Acer also provided him his own notebook to use in his overseas studies.
The ePinnacle awards concluded with the send-off. Fourty-six partners received awards from the following categories:
Acer Provider Awards, Marketing Awards, Associate Partner Awards, Commercial Partner Awards, Consumer Partner Awards, Acer Distributor Awards, and Partner of the Year Awards
Over 500 partners attended the awards ceremony at Cove Manila. In addition, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid also serenaded the guests at the end of the evening.
