Acer officially announced the newer Acer Aspire One with a 10.1″ display screen. The 1.18 kg netbook is the 2nd generation of portable and affordable laptops that came out the Taiwanese PC manufacturer.
The 10″ Aspire One comes with 802.11b/g WiFi and Acer Signal Up technology built-in as standard for easy access to available wireless networks. In addition is equipped with Bluetooth and can also be specified with a choice of embedded WiMAX or 3G wireless technologies for unlimited connectivity.
It will also come pre-installed with a 6-cell battery which, according to Acer, can last up to 7 hours. It will continue producing the netbooks on various colors — white, blue, red and black.
Storage is now up to 160GB with memory options of up to 2GB but still running Windows XP. Acer has not indicated the retail price yet.
